Exploring

Bapaume, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France
Saturday, April 21, 2012

Out and about today. The weather was still iffy so we did short jaunts around the countryside and through dozens of interesting little villages. There are literally hundreds of memorials and thousands of cemeteries around the Somme.

During the evening the sun decided to make an appearance so I went for a walk around Combles. I'll let the pictures tell the story today.

Comments:
Harsh, but true! This is hardly in keeping with the local architecture and will, no doubt, impact on the area for the future planning of the village... From Orchard Farm, on Apr 29, 2012 at 06:15AM
