Another travelling day - fully loaded along mostly main roads.

I was in valleys all day just following rivers and going with the traffic flow. I did not want to try and navigate through Bolzano so I went the only other direction I could - up and over Jaufenpass.

I had done this road six years ago on a Sportcity 200 and it was even more wonderful than I remember. Even more perfect in fact as the weather was much clearer this time and I had excellent views off into the far distance.

I got totally lost in Merano - hating the Italian lack of roadsigns - but stopped at a wonderful roadside café and had the most delicious German sausage and mustard. I've been craving one for ages.

Up another long valley and found a campsite at the base of Stelvio Pass.
