Middle of Germany
I spent the whole day weaving around the backroads using a "fussy" map.
The map has so much information on it, it's actually confusing. The placenames obscure the roads and you often can't tell which place name matches which dot.
So between the map and the detours around roadworks, I must have backtracked a dozen times and my route looks like I have snaked my way north.
Another gorgeous day of wonderful country backroads and twisties climbing up in the mountains. I've now left Schwarzwald and am in river country. I found a great campsite beside the Neckar River and it's in total contrast to yesterday's site.
It is packed with campervans but still, so quiet and peaceful.
Tomorrow is Sunday and I've been given the "heads-up" on the location of the local motorcycle meeting spot in the mountains.
