CWC Ulysses style
Gernot and Wally's house is full of amazing photos of their adventures on motorcycles. They have done some miles!!
Gernot's garage is full of bikes including an old Lux project bike and two bikes with sidecars.
After Gernot spent 15 minutes choosing which bike to take, Uwe arrived on his BMW and we topped up Henry's tyres and oil then set off.
It was such a delight just to follow someone and not refer to a map all day. Of course they know all the local "secret" roads which I would never have been able to find without these fabulous guides.
We did an epic 250+kms through the most gorgeous countryside, past crystal lakes and deep into dark forests. [Pete you would have loved it]. We did a huge loop into France and stopped for coffee and cake and then lunch high in the forest.
Excellent day with excellent company and came home to wonderful home-cooked meal by Wally.
I may never leave!
