Adeiu to Belgian chocolate and waffles
Last day in Belgium. The weather turned nasty again so we stayed close to home. I did one last turn around the town and looked at all the interesting buildings.
Visited the Ramparts Museum - gotta say one of the most impressive WWI museums. It's located right beside the Lille Gate and you enter through the pub. The whole display is set up "underground" with low lighting and a constant din of shells and screams and general nasty warfare in the background. Very effective soundtrack - not too overbearing.
Did one last "Last Post" and then said my farewells to Soren. I've commissioned him to do a drawing of our four Smythe boys.
