Day Out

La Cellette, Limousin, France
Friday, June 8, 2012

Another excellent day out riding lovely country roads and visiting interesting little villages. We stopped at Sainte-Svre-sur-Indre where Director Jacques Tati had made a film about a postman back in 1949. As the town's only claim to fame, they celebrate it with film festivals and a statue.

We also visited George Sand's chateau at Nohant. She was a very influential woman and writer and also Chopin's mistress.

Back to Dave's for lunch where Trish met us on her Yamaha. All three of us headed out again to explore more of the Creuse. We rode for a few hours and visited Fresslines where Dave used to live and had a delicious hot chocolate by the lake.
